Please note that Kate's Corner Preschool is a preschool program, not a childcare center. Our focus is providing a structured, enriching educational experience for your child during these crucial early years.
Schedule and Tuition
Classes at Kate's Corner Preschool are held Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 11 AM. The consistent daily structure within a shorter period promotes a secure environment, aiding in effective learning and easing transitions in and out of the classroom. The annual schedule mirrors the Gilbert Christian Schools Calendar, taking the same breaks as the public schools in our area. Should Kate's Corner Preschool ever close outside of a regularly scheduled break, your tuition for that month would be adjusted accordingly.
Tuition to Kate's Corner Preschool is $300 per month. This secures your student's spot in the class and includes all learning supplies such as arts and crafts materials and disposable sensory play items. Enrollment happens on an annual basis, re-opening at the end of each school year.

Age Range and Individual Needs
We typically accept students between the ages of 21 months and 3 years, but we are happy to discuss whether our program is a good fit for your child on a case-by-case basis. We understand that every child is unique, and we are committed to accommodating individual needs. Additionally, I am happy to assist with diaper changes and potty learning, making the transition smoother for both parents and children.
Curriculum and Activities
Our curriculum is informed by the Arizona Infant and Toddler Developmental Guidelines and the Arizona Early Learning Standards, ensuring your child receives a top-notch educational experience that will prepare them for their future academic endeavors. The program focuses on socialization, emotional learning, and educational enrichment, providing a well-rounded foundation for your child's development.
Our program is designed to be both fun and educational, fostering creativity and critical thinking. We emphasize hands-on learning through sensory play and art activities, and we regularly rotate Montessori-style toys to promote open-ended play. Each day includes circle time, featuring a combination of direct instruction, read-alouds, puppet shows, musicology, and more. We also incorporate daily outdoor play, weather permitting, allowing children to develop their gross motor skills and expend energy. During this time, I work with smaller groups on messier projects while still supervising all students.

Learning Environment
Our dedicated classroom space within the house is designed to foster a love of learning in a cozy and nurturing environment. Additionally, we have a spacious backyard to allow for plenty of outdoor play and exploration. With a small class size of just five students, we ensure that each child’s individual needs are met, allowing for personalized attention and care. Parent Partnership
At Kate's Corner Preschool, we believe in a strong partnership with parents. I will be available as a resource to help you extend the learning into your home, and I will clearly communicate learning goals and progress on a regular basis. This collaborative approach ensures that your child’s development is supported both at school and at home.
Safety, Security, and Sanitation
I hold an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and have had recent CPR, AED, and First Aid training, ensuring that your child's safety is a top priority. Our home is outfitted with a Ring video security system in all indoor and outdoor spaces that your child will be in (with the exception of the restroom) to ensure maximum accountability for me and peace of mind for you.
The classroom and toys are disinfected daily with a non-toxic cleanser called Force of Nature. The cleanser has the same disinfecting power as bleach without actually using the harmful chemical. By disinfecting daily we reduce the risk of illness being passed around our class.
